The City of Colorado Springs has closed Prospect Lake in Memorial Park effective immediately and until further notice due to the presumed return of blue-green algae, and  Colorado Springs is giving the first green light to a new development. 

The Department of Local Affairs has awarded the City of Pueblo one-million-dollars for the new real-time crime center, and Chevy lets us know if that pesky smoke is going to leave our area.

If you think the last couple of weeks have been crazy, it ain't over yet!  President Biden thrust his party into virtually unprecedented uncertainty Sunday when he announced he was ending his reelection campaign just weeks before his party's convention and endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris to be the party's next presidential nominee.  What comes next is anyone's guess -- this is uncharted territory. Democrats are set to hold their convention in Chicago on Aug. 19-22. What was supposed to be a coronation for Biden now becomes an open contest in which nearly 4,700 delegates will be responsible for picking a new standard-bearer to challenge Republican Donald Trump in the fall.
