A disaster declaration has been issued for four Mississippi counties after a rare F-4 tornado that killed more than two dozen people and injured dozens more. A preliminary estimate puts the twister on the ground for more than an hour, creating a disaster path 60 miles long and 4,000 feet wide. Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann said the devastation — both in terms of loss of life and damage – is “overwhelming.”

The Colorado Springs City Clerk’s office will conduct a logic and accuracy test of the ballot counting system on March 16 for the 2023 General Municipal Election. Approximately 306,000 ballots were mailed to registered voters in Colorado Springs on Friday, March 10. Ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. on election day, April 4.
