The Extra with Shannon Brinias - September 28, 2020

On Monday's "The Extra", the show focused on the transformations brought by the group "Kids on Bikes", an organization founded in 2005 to provide access to bikes, opportunities to ride, and education and empowerment to children throughout Colorado Springs.  Executive Director Daniel Byrd and volunteer Jessica Verplank discussed the important work that's being done so that kids can lead happy, healthy and active lives through bicycling.  There are bike camp programs, after-school programs and an "Earn a Bike" program, as well as much more.  Byrd shared how the group has moved into a new space at 2222 Bott Ave. in Colorado Springs, which they share with Mountain Equipment Recyclers.
