On Monday's "The Extra", we discussed World Habitat Day with Kris Medina, CEO and Executive Director of Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity.  World Habitat Day was designated more than 30 years ago by the United Nations General Assembly to draw attention to the idea that everyone deserves a decent place to live and the promotion of recognizing the basic right of everyone to adequate shelter.  Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity relies on the efforts of volunteers, donors and the operation of its ReStore for its programs helping to advocate homeownership and affordable housing.  It also just announced a second ReStore in northeast Colorado Springs.  More information can be found at PikesPeakHabitat.org.
