The Extra with Shannon Brinias - December 14, 2020

On Monday's "The Extra", we put the spotlight on the William J. Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center, which opened in June as a premiere destination for sports medicine, health and human performance. Our guests, Steve Johnson, PhD – Professor, Human Physiology & Nutrition, Co-Executive Director of Hybl Center and Bill Lueck, MHA – Penrose-St. Francis Health Services, Director, New Development, Co-Executive Director of Hybl Center joined host Shannon Brinias and Doug Price, CEO of VisitCOS to teach listeners about all the Hybl Center includes, such as: 

 

• • • Sports medicine and human performance clinical, testing and counseling services
    • Full imaging suite including MRI (run by our partners at PenRad Imaging), radiography, C-arm, X-ray, ultrasound, body composition, and DEXA scan equipment
    • Space for faculty and other experts to conduct groundbreaking research
    • Custom treadmills that can support bikes, wheelchairs, multiple people and can elevate 30 degrees with speeds up to 40mph
    • A nutrition laboratory and kitchen
    • Altitude room with treadmills and bikes, environmental chamber, outdoor turf field, 60-meter track and classroom and lecture space.
