Colorado Springs Sesquicentennial - June 17, 2021 - The Extra with Shannon Brinias

On KRDO's "The Extra" Thursday, the City of Colorado Springs has grown into the 39th largest and most desirable city to live in the United States, leaps and bounds away from its humble but meaningful beginning in 1871.  Through July 31, 2021 the Colorado Springs community will embark on a communitywide celebration of our city’s rich history, marking the city's Sesquicentennial Celebration.  Guests Blake Zink, Special Events Coordinator, with the City of Colorado Springs and Leah Witherow, Curator of History, Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum joined host Shannon Brinias to talk about the multitude of events and exhibits that are planned.  More information's available at coloradosprings.gov/cos150 and cspm.org.
