Like other forms of dementia, frontotemporal dementia, or FTD, is a disease without a cure. It is the most common form of dementia affecting people under the age of 60. Actor Bruce Willis recently announced that he has been diagnosed with FTD. While there is no cure, there are many resources available to help families better understand the disease and its progression and to plan for the changes that come with it.
Andrew Rogers was joined by Meg Donahue, Director of Family Services, Alzheimer's Association of Colorado, and Stephanie Barnard a speech-language pathologist with Taylor Neuro Specialists to discuss.
