The White House is today marking one million dead from COVID-19.  Official Johns Hopkins numbers are just shy of that mark.  One million is a staggering number.  It is equal to every person living in San Jose, CA – the 10th largest city in the US – disappearing.  COVID-19 was the third leading cause of death in the US in 2021, following heart disease and cancer according to new data from the CDC.  The number of Americans lost to COVID dwarfs the number who have died from the flu.  But there are so many lives that have been impacted.  As we reach this milestone we hear from those who have been most impacted.
