Two Democratic lawmakers have been ousted from the Republican-controlled Tennessee state House of Representatives and one was allowed to stay in what marks the first partisan expulsion in the state's modern history. The three lawmakers -- State Reps. Justin Jones and Justin J. Pearson, who were expelled, and Rep. Gloria Johnson who avoided expulsion by a razor thin margin -- faced separate hearings Thursday for allegedly violating the chamber's “rules of decorum” by participating in a gun control protest at the state Capitol last week. Following the adoption of the expulsion resolution, Jones said his ouster set a "precedent that any member who voices dissent or opposition can be expelled from the legislative body." "Today is a very dangerous day for America," he said after the vote. Rep. Gloria Johnson addressed state House saying: "I fought for my constituents…I did it for the kids in my district, for the kids in the state, for the kids in this community.

In this week's episode, Gary Bell and Brad Pollock discuss "Car Crashes" Do you really need to call the Police? YES - What if you don't?
Even if no one is hurt it is important to call the police. Some insurance companies think if no one was hurt then there is no claim against any injuries that you may not have noticed the moment it happened. You may trust the other person saying it is their fault but what if they go back on their admission? - what does that mean for your claim? Don't let anyone talk you out of calling the police. We explain why and give you information that will help you the next time you are in a car accident.

Today we have new developments regarding motions for summary judgments that are rarely used - why are they used here? Both sides filed motions for summary judgments - meaning both sides want the judge to rule right now that there is no trial and to rule in the favor of one side - trial goes away. This is significant! Listen to the riveting fact of this case and learn why!

Oil prices were up sharply today after Saudi Arabia and other OPEC+ producers announced unexpected production cuts, and gains in energy shares helped to limit declines in some world stock indexes. In a surprise move, the OPEC+ group on Sunday announced cuts to production amounting to about 1.16 million barrels per day. The new cuts could push oil prices towards $100 a barrel, analysts and traders said. White House spokesman John Kirby said the U.S. was provided advanced noticed that OPEC+ would cut oil production, although he declined to say whether the U.S. had privately lobbied OPEC+ members to refrain from moving forward. Kirby criticized the move. “We don't think that production cuts are advisable at this moment, given market uncertainty, and we’ve made that clear,” he said.
