The women’s semifinals of Wimbledon were held at the All-England Club on Thursday. Sixth-seeded Tunisian Ons Jabeur bounced back after dropping the first set to beat second-seed Aryna Sabalanka, advancing to her second straight Wimbledon final. Jabeur lost to Elena Rybakina in the final last year. In this year’s final, to be held on Saturday, Jabeur will take on unseeded Czech player Marketa Vondrousova, who eliminated Elina Svitolina in the semis on Thursday. Meanwhile, the men’s semifinals will be held Friday, as Novak Djokovic faces eight-seed Yannick Sinner, with a chance to advance to his fifth straight final at the All-England Club. Djokovic is just one Wimbledon title short of Roger Federer’s all-time record of eight. The other men’s semifinal features top-seed Carlos Alcaraz against three-seed Daniil Medvedev. Both players looking for their first appearance in a final at Wimbledon.

In Fairfax County Virginia an 18-year-old who was too young to purchase a handgun from a licensed gun dealer and who was an admitted drug dealer with mental health issues (according to court records), purchased a ghost gun online along with the assembly kit and assembled it. He later killed two 17-year-olds. Ghost gun purchases do not require bank accounts and it is just as easy as going to a convenience store, getting a debit card and have the ghost gun shipped via U.S. Mail. ATF has reported a dramatic increase in ghost gun purchases, especially among teenagers.
