Colorado has the second-cheapest gas prices in the country with a statewide average of $3.16 per gallon of regular unleaded, fully 51 cents below the national average. Colorado gas prices are down from $3.58 this time last year and are up only ten cents on the month. 

It looks like a murder mystery is unfolding in Colorado Springs.  A woman was thrown from a moving car yesterday just before 3 p.m. near Bingo World on  South Academy Boulevard and Airport Road.

The chief weapons handler on the Rust movie set was sentenced to 18 months in prison for the 2021 fatal, on-set shooting of the movie’s cinematographer Halyna Hutchins by the actor Alec Baldwin.  Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in March for mistakenly loading a live round into the revolver Baldwin used in the film. 

The trial for Baldwin, who was both an actor and co-producer on the film, is set for  July after a grand jury indicted him for involuntary manslaughter. What will a jury need to decide?

National Correspondent Jon Jeffries has the latest from the Masters at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia.

O.J. Simpson, the former football great who was accused of and ultimately acquitted of the brutal 1994 slayings of his ex-wife and her friend, has died, according to his family. He was 76. Simpson, nicknamed "The Juice," broke records as a college and professional football player, and extended his celebrity and fortune as a sportscaster, a movie and television actor, and as a corporate spokesman, most notably for Hertz rental cars. All that changed on June 12, 1994, when Simpson's ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, were brutally stabbed to death outside of the former's home in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood. Within days, police announced their intention to arrest the former football star for the murders. In October 1995, after 11 months from jury selection to verdict, Simpson was acquitted in a trial that was televised daily and became an international sensation. Simpson later spent time in jail after being convicted of kidnapping and armed robbery following an incident at a Las Vegas hotel.
