As the coronavirus continues to impact the way each of us live our daily lives, Optum has been thinking about you. Over the past few months, we’ve changed the way we deliver care to help protect you, while also ensuring you have access to address your health needs.  This week join Dr. Michael Harper, a family practice physician with our Optum-East clinic for updates on what Optum is doing to help keep our patients safe.  

Dr. Harper, joined the Optum-East team in February of 2020. Dr. Harper earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University in 1992, followed by a family medicine residency from Mount Carmel Medical Center, completed in 1995. Dr. Harper has been a family medicine practitioner for 25 years. Remember to stay safe and follow prevention practices:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, following the CDC’s infection control guidelines.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, then throw the tissue in the trash, and wash your hands.
