A bus driver and transportation coordinator at the Alamosa School District is celebrating the success of a new project called "Sole Searching," but also hoping it can continue to grow and help children.  Jeremy Silva noticed that some students getting on his bus were experiencing a need that wasn't fully recognized, they were in need of new shoes.  He started a fund drive so that the kids contacted could place orders for new shoes up to $70 value.  The initiative is funded through donations.   So far, about two dozen children have received new shoes.  Anyone wishing to donate can go to the Go Fund Me account, send a check to Alamosa School District, 209 Victoria Street, Alamosa, Colorado 81101 with Sole Searching written in the memo line or drop off an Amazon gift card at the district office.
