The mayor said this season's spring break has attracted more visitors than in previous years, as access to other destinations may be limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. This, as health officials are warning the Brazil variant of the virus is now present all over the country - including in New York where authorities confirmed that a resident in their 90s with no travel history has the variant.

The Colorado Lottery works with the Problem Gambling Coalition of Colorado to draw attention to resources and assistance for people with gambling problems through Problem Gambling Awareness Month during March.  On Monday's "The Extra", Colorado Lottery Director Tom Seaver joined host Shannon Brinias to talk about problem gambling, which is similar to other types of addiction: it's a pattern of behavior that causes disruptions in any major area of life, whether psychological, physical, social or vocational.  Loss of control happens when the gambling behavior continues in spite of mounting serious, negative consequences. Gambling addicts may begin to lie about how much they gamble, can begin stealing or may ask friends or family to bail them out of a financial crisis without regard for the risk of losing relationships.  There are resources available on the agency's website or via the hotline:  800-522-4700.  Seaver also talked about how the agency is really excited to move closer to achieving Level 4 certification for the World Lottery Association’s Responsible Gambling certification process.
